TNAI Maharashtra State branch had conducted health awareness camp on the occasion of Women’s Day celebrations on 4th March 2016 from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm at Thane Municipal Corporation Head Office, Panchpakhadi, Thane.
The camp was conducted for the female’s staff of T.M.C. Health Check up camp was organized with help of 20 students of Sau. Minatai Thakre Institute of Nursing education and Seva mandal education society college of Nursing, Matunga. 10 staff nurses of C.s.M. hospital, kalwa, 02 Nursing Staff from Tata hospital, Parel, 04 Nursing tutors of SMTINE and 04 TNAI state branch executive members- Mrs Dabholkar, Mrs Deshpande , Mrs Shilpa Shetegar, and Ms. Dharap and ex executive Mrs Akansha Panday.
The health camp was inaugurated by Hon. Additional Commissionar Shri Sunil Chavan , dean RGMC and CSMH Dr. Maitra, P.O Ms. Varsha Dixit, and President Women welfare cell of TMC. During the inaugural speech Hon. Commissioner appreciated the Trained Nurses for conducting health camp for TMC women employees and said that such camps will promote health awareness among the women and also appreciated the objectives and handouts given to the women. Dr. Maitra Madam also said women should take out time for self to maintain health as their health is important for the family wellbeing.
During the health camp total 100 women were assessed for Height, Weight, BMI, Bone density, Blood pressure, random blood sugar, Self Breast examination, vision and personal health counseling and group counseling on various health problems of women.
The check up camp was appreciated by majority of the women for conduction, smooth functioning and health education they received.
