Pre-conference meeting was held on 21st November 2015, under the Chairpersonship of Mrs. Anita A. Deodhar, President, TNAI, New Delhi. The day-wise description is given in the following paragraphs;
Day 1- 21st November 2015
Registration of delegates was done for the conference, from 26 states total 126 number of colleges participated. 339 T.N.A.I members and 1035 SNA members’ thus 1374 total delegates attended. From the state of Maharashtra, 17 colleges attended the conference. Total delegates were 90, out of which 27 were TNAI members and 63 were SNA members.
Day 2 – 22nd November 2015
Registration of the delegates was done. At 8.30 am student representatives from different state SNA units actively participated in various sports competitions .Running, Javelin throw, discuss throw competitions were conducted simultaneously. On the same day display of exhibits for poster competition was at the P.G. college of nursing. Total 162 posters were exhibited. In the afternoon, competitions were conducted simultaneously in painting, floor decoration (15 participants), poetry recitation (17 participants), Health education (17 participants) .The Judging of posters was done by panel of Judges from 3 to 5 pm. The cultural event by Chhattisgarh State branch started at 6.30 pm followed by variety entertainment programme by all state branches.
Day 3- 23rd November 2015
Inaugural ceremony started at 10.00 am. The chief guest was Mr. Vikas Sheel, Health secretary- Department of Health and family welfare. The programme began with invocation song followed by lamp lighting by chief guest and other dignitaries. Welcome address was given by Dr. Abhilekha Biswal. President T.N.A.I Chhattisgarh branch. The reading of messages done by State S.N.A secretary and State S.N.A Vice president. Unfolding of the conference theme was done by Dr. Maya E. Patliya , Principal ,College of Nursing, Indore, M.P. where she emphasized on the nurses role in keeping the environment clean. Presidential address was delivered by Mrs. Anita A. Deodhar, President T.N.A.I she emphasized on the role of nurse to focus on clinical practices as well as academics. Release of souvenir was done by Mr. Vikas Sheel, Health Secretary, followed by inauguration of exhibition by chief guest. Vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Bina Thomas, State S.N.A Advisor.
12 to 12.30 pm presentation was done by Johnson and Johnson on the products. 12.30 to 1:00 pm Roll call was taken – each State presented their strength in terms of SNA & TNAI members .Purse money was collected from all the states to strengthen the association. This was followed by lunch break.
Afternoon session: Business Session I:
The session started with national SNA Advisor report by Dy Secretary General Cum SNA advisor, Mrs. Evelyn Kannan followed by report of state S.N.A activities presentation. Total 08 states presented the reports. Maharashtra State report was presented by Ms. Susmita, Secretary Maharashtra state Branch.
Scientific paper presentation was done by pragyan college of Nursing Bhopal (M.P).and by the students of Shilong
The next event of day 3 was talent night where the representatives of the different
states exhibited their talent and competition for personality development held simultaneously. Total 16 states participated in the event.
Day 4- 24th November 2015
It began at 9.00 am with 3rd scientific paper presentation was done by BSC Nursing 3rd year student from Symbiosis college of Nursing, Pune Maharashtra presented.
4th scientific paper presentation was done by Bsc. Nursing 3rd yr student Bambolim Goa.
5th scientific paper presentation was done by Bsc Nursing 4th year, woodland institute of nursing, Laitkor , Shillong, Meghalaya.
6th scientific paper presentation was done by P.G college of Nursing , Bhilai, Chhattisgarh
Business Session II:
Afternoon Business session II started at 12.00 noon under the chairmanship of Mrs. Anita A. Deodhar, President, TNAI, with the Presentation of S.N.A general committee resolution by Mrs. Evely Kannan, Dy Secretary General Cum SNA advisor.
Resolution 1 – At the time of admission the students will pay Rs. 2000 onetime fee to become T.N.A.I member. No need of paying yearly subscription. Certificate will be given by T.N.A.I to student and after completion of course life membership card will be delivered.
Resolution 2 – Scholarship amount is increased from rupees 15,000/- to rupees 24,000 /-which includes books.
It was proposed and seconded by SNA members.
Valedictory session started with invocation song by host branch. Followed by presentation of conference resume. Chairperson speech was delivered by Mrs. Anita A. Deodhar, President T.N.A.I where she appreciated Chhattisgarh state branch for all their efforts in making the conference a success and appreciated all the delegates. It was followed by Valedictory address by chief guest Dr. Ashok Ghorpade, Director J.L.N. Hospital, Bhillai, the Prize distribution for various competition by the chief guest. Vote for thanks was given by Mrs. Evelyn Kannan, Dy Secretary General Cum SNA advisor and National anthem.

1] Category code 002 First Aid and Basic Nursing procedure – Management of second degree burn, Dufferin cup – 1st prize: Ms. Sony Thomson, 2nd yr. Bsc nursing, L.T. college of Nursing.
2] Category code 005 Psychiatric nursing: Mental health of Children: Parents responsibility, Pramda Bajaj Shield : 1st prize Mr. Sahil Tesankar – RGNM 2nd yr. ICN IGGMC Nagpur.
3] Category code 007 Obstetrical nursing: Medico legal aspects in Obstetrical Nursing Consolation Prize: Ms. Madke Poonam, Sau Minatai Thakre Institute of Nursing Education, T.M.C Thane.
