GLP-OET Workshop held on 24th Feb 2020 at 9 am to 4:30 pm at Auditorium, Dr.R.N. Cooper Hospital Mumbai organized by The Trained Nurses Association of India and Occupational English Test (OET), supported by TNAI (Maharashtra State Branch).

The emergence of the Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI) as a government-accredited placement agency is yet another milestone in its onward journey towards improving the life of Nurses in the country. Concerned at the exploitative, unethical, and deceptive practices of certain unscrupulous agencies operating in this area, TNAI had long been contemplating to provide a safe and fair mechanism to the Nurses, who in increasing numbers, seek employment within the country or abroad. Considering the need this workshop was arranged for awareness sensitization about overseas recruitment and safe emigration in the state of Maharashtra.

The total number of candidates registered was 220 and attended by 196 candidates. Nurses working from Government and private hospitals and fourth year Basic B.Sc nursing students from Mumbai, Thane, Raigad Pune, Kolhapur, Sangli, and Nashik attended this workshop.

Program started with Inaugural session graced by Mrs. Prachi Dharap Secretary TNAI Maharashtra State branch, Mr. Rajabhau Rathod, Mrs. Shilpa S. Hettigar, Executive Members Matron Mrs. Vaishali Thoravade, Dr. R. N. Cooper Hospital, Mumbai. Mr. Ajinas A. Mand and Ms. Shakina Mohol.

Lectures were taken by  Mr. Ajinas A M, Assistant Secretary-General – TNAI on Overview about TNAI’s Recruitment Services. Ms. Shakina Mohol, Education Consultant with Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment focuses on OET Preparatory Workshop Part – I and Part – II.  Many nurses have submitted Bio-Data for verification.

At the end of the workshop participants, the response was given by Ms. Mrudula Narvekar staff nurse from Wadia Hospital and a student from the Holy Spirit College of Nursing. Workshop end at 4.30 pm.

Note: CV selection from the candidates who completed IELTS / OET can be conducted on the day of the workshop. It can be published through the materials you are circulating.
