Research Methodology Writing Competition
Research methodology writing competition was conducted in Seva Mandal Education Society’s College of Nursing on 16th October 2019. The competition started with the registration process at 8:00 am. 43 participants registered for this competition from all over Nursing Colleges in Mumbai. 8 GNM students, 16 Basic BSC students, and 19 MSC students registered for this competition. Refreshments were provided to the participants. The Chief guest Mrs.Surekha Sawant President TNAI, MSB arrived at 9.30.followed by the inaugural ceremony. Mrs. Jyotsna Pandit HOD, Mrs. Anjali Katdare, Principal, Mrs. Shilpa Shettigar, Mrs. Delphina Gurav, Associate Professor, Ms. Nikhita Bhonsale, Lecturer, Ms. Sayali Tawade, Clinical Instructor, and Mrs.Diana Fernandes, Clinical Instructor were present for the inaugural ceremony.
Mrs.Diana Fernandes hosted the inaugural ceremony. Lamp lighting was done by all the dignitaries. Then Chief guest Mrs. Surekha Sawant was requested to address the gathering followed by Mrs. Jyotsna Pandit and Mrs. Anjali Katdare who addressed the gathering as well. Later Mrs. Nikhita Bhonsale briefed the participants on what they were expected to prepare in the research synopsis and abstract. Later Vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Diana Fernandes. Participants were given group number and their topic for proposal in the form of the chit.
All participants were asked to proceed to the Computer lab where they were allotted their respective computers. The competition started at 10.30.am.Participants enthusiastically started working on their synopsis. The competition went on smoothly without any problems and ended at 12.30.pm. Two hours of time was given to the participants for the synopsis and abstract preparation. All participants were asked to mail their synopsis and abstract both in word file and pdf file to the given mail id for evaluation.
After the end of the competition, all participants were instructed that the result will be declared within one week period and will be communicated to their respective colleges. Participants were also instructed to attend the research methodology seminar which will be held in the month of December where winners of the competition will be awarded with the trophy and the certificate. Competition ended with valedictory function. All the participants were satisfied and appreciated the organizing committee for arranging this competition. The program ended at 1:30 pm.
